The Theoretical Aspects of Literature

Literature is how someone perceives it, like if you pull a sentence out of a story, newspaper, recipe, etc.
Theory of Mind is a critical tool in reading and understanding literature. It is mind reading, empathy, creative imagination of another perspective. In order to understand a line of work from the mind of someone else you have to have a theory of mind. To be able to take someone else's words and apply them to how you feel; it is also a necessity for human communication. All literary interpretation draws on a basis in theory.
Theory of Mind- to be able to comprehend another work of literature. "Look" into the mind of another and pull the information from their head (through their words) and place it in yours. Sounds complicated but one must know how they use this tool to understand literature. This is why this is such a demanded tool for readers.

Literature [lit-er-uh-cher,-choor, li-truh-]

Writings in which expression and form, in connection with ideas of permanent and universal interest,are characteristic or essential features, as poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays.

What really is Literature...and does it matter? I think that literature and language all go together to make a mass of information. The writing of ideas and putting them in sync with the form or structure of your writing. I think that is has a lot to do with all of how one comprehends literature and how it is used. Weather it is used to persuade, inform, or entertain. Theory of mind is a critical tool in reading and understanding literature. Basically it is mind-reading, entering the creative imagination of another perspective through their thoughts that they put on paper. It is also a necessity for human communication.
